Another one from my last show. This one had been on my "to paint" list for a long long time. It took a while to decide just how I wanted it to be, particularly that tricky cliffside. But I'm really happy with the results.
Kids are miraculously napping at the same time, giving me time time for a quick post. This was one of my favorites from my last show, glad to finally share it with you now! It's also one of Lily's favorite spots to explore with her daddy.
The bright colors of fruits are always so fun to paint. If you haven't tried it you should! I start by marking in the shadow areas, working towards the brightest ones. It's fun to look for unique shapes created by the curves.
Still on maternity leave over here. Our new little dude is awake pretty much all the time, which means there's no time for me to paint. But I still have a dozen or so new paintings that I finished before he was born. So for the next couple weeks I'll be sharing those with you! And they'll be available to purchase in my Etsy shop too!
Hi! I'm Sharon Schock, an artist living and working in Carpinteria, California. In 2009 I started a daily painting project where I complete one small painting each day. These paintings will be up for auction or available in my etsy shop soon after they're posted here. To be the first to know about each new posting enter your email at the top of the page.
