I have some big shows coming up this summer!  I think I may have overcommitted myself a bit, hopefully I can handle it.  It just means that I'll be painting like a mad woman for the next month or so, and probably hoarding my new paintings so I don't sell out before the show. 

I'm really happy about this new painting. I have always loved this spot at sunrise, but never quite figured out...

At Sunset - Carpinteria Oil Painting - 6x6

I've painted these trees by our  house before, but never at this time of day.  I love their shape and the colors in the background.  I really like how there was still a hint of blue in the sky, while the rest of the sunset was so orange and bright.

This is the second painting I'm planning on entering for the Faulkner Gallery holiday show.  My favorite part in this piece is the white tower on the right, but I can't remember what that building actually is...

 On a side note, I watched Psych for the first time, since they put it on Netflix.  I didn't know it was "set in" Santa Barbara, haha how fun!
